21 Definicion de variable aleatoria

Definición III.1.

Sea (Ω,𝒜︁,P)(\Omega,\mathscr{A},P) un espacio probabilistico. Una variable aleatoria es cualquier funcion X:Ω→ℝX\colon\Omega\to\mathbb{R} que para todo B∈ℬ︀(ℝ)B\in\mathcal{{B}}(\mathbb{R}) verifica

X−1(B)∈𝒜︁X^{-1}(B)\in\mathscr{A}

o lo que es lo mismo,

{ω∈Ω∣X(ω)∈B}∈𝒜︀\left\{\omega\in\Omega\mid X(\omega)\in B\right\}\in\mathcal{{A}}

Una funcion que cumple esta condicion se dice que es una funcion medible con respecto al espacio probabilistico.

Sobre los elementos de Ω\Omega existe una distribucion de probabilidad, y la variable aleatoria XX traslada esta estructura probabilistica a ℝ\mathbb{R}.

Si partimos del espacio probabilistico (Ω,𝒜︁,P)(\Omega,\mathscr{A},P) y consideramos una variable aleatoria

X:Ω→ℝX\colon\Omega\to\mathbb{R}

podemos definir

PX:ℝ→[0,1]P_{X}\colon\mathbb{R}\to[0,1]

de la forma siguiente: para cada B∈ℬ︀B\in\mathcal{{B}},

PX(B)=P(X∈B)=P({ω∈Ω∣X(ω)∈B})=P(X−1(B))P_{X}(B)=P(X\in B)=P(\left\{\omega\in\Omega\mid X(\omega)\in B\right\})=P(X^{-% 1}(B))
Teorema III.1.

PXP_{X} es una probabilidad sobre (ℝ,ℬ︀)(\mathbb{R},\mathcal{{B}}).
