Parte VI Teoría de Galois

Teorema VI.1.

Sea KK un cuerpo y τ1,…,τn\tau_{1},\ldots,\tau_{n} automorfismos distintos de KK. Entonces τ1,…,τn\tau_{1},\ldots,\tau_{n} son KK-linealmente independientes.

Demostración.

Por inducción sobre nn.

  •

    Caso base: supongamos que existe a∈Ka\in K tal que aτ1=0a\tau_{1}=0. Entonces aτ1=a⋅1=a=0⇒a=0a\tau_{1}=a\cdot 1=a=0\Rightarrow a=0.

  •

Sean a1,…,an∈Ka_{1},\ldots,a_{n}\in K tales que a1τ1(x)+a2τ2(x)+⋯+anτn(x)=0∀x∈Ka_{1}\tau_{1}(x)+a_{2}\tau_{2}(x)+\cdots+a_{n}\tau_{n}(x)=0\;\forall x\in K. Como τ1≠τ2\tau_{1}\neq\tau_{2} existe y∈Ky\in K distinto de 0 tal que τ1(y)≠τ2(y)\tau_{1}(y)\neq\tau_{2}(y). Se tiene que

    a1τ1(xy)+a2τ2(xy)+⋯+anτn(xy)\displaystyle a_{1}\tau_{1}(xy)+a_{2}\tau_{2}(xy)+\cdots+a_{n}\tau_{n}(xy)
    =0\displaystyle{}=0
    a1τ1(x)τ1(y)+a2τ2(x)τ2(y)+⋯+anτn(x)τn(y)\displaystyle a_{1}\tau_{1}(x)\tau_{1}(y)+a_{2}\tau_{2}(x)\tau_{2}(y)+\cdots+a% _{n}\tau_{n}(x)\tau_{n}(y)
    =0\displaystyle{}=0

CE(G)={x∈E∣τ(x)=x para todo τ∈G}C_{E}(G)=\left\{x\in E\mid\tau(x)=x\text{ para todo }\tau\in G\right\}

Si F=CE(G)F=C_{E}(G), entonces |E:F|=|G|\left|E\colon F\right|=\left|G\right|.

τ1(e1)x1+τ2(e1)x2+⋯+τn(e1)xn\displaystyle\tau_{1}(e_{1})x_{1}+\tau_{2}(e_{1})x_{2}+\cdots+\tau_{n}(e_{1})x% _{n}
=0\displaystyle{}=0
τ1(e2)x1+τ2(e2)x2+⋯+τn(e2)xn\displaystyle\tau_{1}(e_{2})x_{1}+\tau_{2}(e_{2})x_{2}+\cdots+\tau_{n}(e_{2})x% _{n}
=0\displaystyle{}=0
⋮⋮\displaystyle\vdots\qquad\qquad\qquad\vdots
τ1(em)x1+τ2(em)x2+⋯+τn(em)xn\displaystyle\tau_{1}(e_{m})x_{1}+\tau_{2}(e_{m})x_{2}+\cdots+\tau_{n}(e_{m})x% _{n}
=0\displaystyle{}=0

∑i=1nτi(b)ai=∑i=1nτi(∑j=1mbjej)ai=∑i=1n∑j=1mτi(bj)τi(ej)ai=∑i=1n∑j=1mbjτi(ej)ai==∑j=1mbj(∑i=1nτi(ej)ai)=0{}\sum_{i=1}^{n}\tau_{i}(b)a_{i}=\sum_{i=1}^{n}\tau_{i}\left(\sum_{j=1}^{m}b_{% j}e_{j}\right)a_{i}=\sum_{i=1}^{n}\sum_{j=1}^{m}\tau_{i}(b_{j})\tau_{i}(e_{j})% a_{i}=\sum_{i=1}^{n}\sum_{j=1}^{m}b_{j}\tau_{i}(e_{j})a_{i}=\\ {}=\sum_{j=1}^{m}b_{j}\left(\sum_{i=1}^{n}\tau_{i}(e_{j})a_{i}\right)=0

τ1(e1)x1+τ1(e2)x2+⋯+τ1(em)xm\displaystyle\tau_{1}(e_{1})x_{1}+\tau_{1}(e_{2})x_{2}+\cdots+\tau_{1}(e_{m})x% _{m}
=0\displaystyle{}=0
τ2(e1)x1+τ2(e2)x2+⋯+τ2(em)xm\displaystyle\tau_{2}(e_{1})x_{1}+\tau_{2}(e_{2})x_{2}+\cdots+\tau_{2}(e_{m})x% _{m}
=0\displaystyle{}=0
⋮⋮\displaystyle\vdots\qquad\qquad\qquad\vdots
τn(e1)x1+τn(e2)x2+⋯+τn(em)xm\displaystyle\tau_{n}(e_{1})x_{1}+\tau_{n}(e_{2})x_{2}+\cdots+\tau_{n}(e_{m})x% _{m}
=0\displaystyle{}=0

∑i=1maiτj(ei)=0\sum_{i=1}^{m}a_{i}\tau_{j}(e_{i})=0

En este caso,

0=γ(∑i=1mτj(ei)ai)=∑i=1m(γτj)(ei)γ(ai)0=\gamma\left(\sum_{i=1}^{m}\tau_{j}(e_{i})a_{i}\right)=\sum_{i=1}^{m}(\gamma% \tau_{j})(e_{i})\gamma(a_{i})

Si τ(bi)≠bi\tau(b_{i})\neq b_{i} para algún τ∈G\tau\in G e i≥2i\geq 2, tendríamos que

(1,b2,b3,…,bm)−(1,τ(b2),…,τ(bm))(1,b_{2},b_{3},\ldots,b_{m})-(1,\tau(b_{2}),\ldots,\tau(b_{m}))

De donde se deduce que bi∈Fb_{i}\in F. Tomando el automorfismo identidad, ∑i=1mτj(ei)ai=0j=1,…,n⇒∑i=1meibi=0\sum_{i=1}^{m}\tau_{j}(e_{i})a_{i}=0\;j=1,\ldots,n\Rightarrow\sum_{i=1}^{m}e_{% i}b_{i}=0 con bi∈Fb_{i}\in F. Esto es una contradicción con que {e1,…,em}\left\{e_{1},\ldots,e_{m}\right\} son linealmente independientes. ∎

Teorema VI.3.

Supongamos que E/KE/K es de Galois, entonces

|Gal(E/K)|=|E:K||Gal(E/K)|=\left|E:K\right|
Demostración.

Si |E:K|=1\left|E:K\right|=1, entonces E=KE=K y claramente |Gal(E/K)|=1\left|Gal(E/K)\right|=1.

|Gal(E/K(a))|=|E:K(a)|\left|Gal(E/K(a))\right|=\left|E:K(a)\right|

Notación: G=Gal(E/K)G=Gal(E/K).

|o(a)|=|G:Ga|=m\left|o(a)\right|=\left|G\colon G_{a}\right|=m

pero Ga={τ∈G∣τ(a)=a}=Gal(E/K(a))G_{a}=\left\{\tau\in G\mid\tau(a)=a\right\}=Gal(E/K(a)) y concluimos que

|G|=|Ga||G:Ga|=|E:K(a)|m=|E:K(a)|⋅|K(a):K|=|E:K|\left|G\right|=\left|G_{a}\right|\left|G\colon G_{a}\right|=\left|E:K(a)\right% |m=\left|E:K(a)\right|\cdot\left|K(a):K\right|=\left|E:K\right|

Corolario VI.1.

Supongamos que E/KE/K es una extensión de Galois y sea G=Gal(E/K)G=Gal(E/K). Sea a∈Ea\in E. Si τ(a)=a\tau(a)=a para todo τ∈G\tau\in G, entonces a∈Ka\in K.

Demostración.

Sea F=CE(G)F=C_{E}(G), notemos que K⊆F⊆EK\subseteq F\subseteq E. Por el teorema 6.3 tenemos |G|=|E:K|\left|G\right|=\left|E:K\right|. Por el teorema 3.2 también sabemos que |G|=|E:F|\left|G\right|=\left|E:F\right| y deducimos que |F:K|=1\left|F:K\right|=1 por la transitividad de índices. ∎

Lema VI.1.

  1. 1.

    Las aplicaciones f:𝒮︀→𝒦︀f\colon\mathcal{{S}}\to\mathcal{{K}} y g:𝒦︀→𝒮︀g\colon\mathcal{{K}}\to\mathcal{{S}} dadas por f(H)=CE(H)f(H)=C_{E}(H) y g(L)=Gal(E/L)g(L)=Gal(E/L) son biyecciones mutuamente inversas, es decir, f∘g=IKf\circ g=I_{K} y g∘f=ISg\circ f=I_{S}.

  2. 2.

    Si K⊆L⊆EK\subseteq L\subseteq E. Entonces L/KL/K es normal si y solo si Gal(E/L)⊴Gal(E/K)Gal(E/L)\trianglelefteq Gal(E/K). En ese caso,

    Gal(E/K)/Gal(E/L)≅Gal(L/K)Gal(E/K)/Gal(E/L)\cong Gal(L/K)
Demostración.

Probemos 11. Sea K⊆L⊆EK\subseteq L\subseteq E un cuerpo. Sabemos que E/LE/L es de Galois. Por el corolario 6,16{,}1 tenemos que

CE(Gal(E/L))=LC_{E}(Gal(E/L))=L

Esto prueba que f∘g=1𝒦︀f\circ g=1_{\mathcal{{K}}}. En particular, ff es sobreyectiva.

Supongamos que H,J≤GH,J\leq G tales que CE(H)=CE(J)=FC_{E}(H)=C_{E}(J)=F. Entonces H,J≤Gal(E/F)H,J\leq Gal(E/F). Por los teoremas 6.2 y 6.3 tenemos

|E:F|=|H|≤|Gal(E/F)|=|E:F|\left|E:F\right|=\left|H\right|\leq\left|Gal(E/F)\right|=\left|E:F\right|

de donde deducimos que H=Gal(E/F)H=Gal(E/F). Análogamente,

J=Gal(E/F)=HJ=Gal(E/F)=H

lo que prueba que ff es inyectiva. Por tanto, ff es una biyección y f−1=gf^{-1}=g.

Probemos 2. Denotemos H=Gal(E/L)H=Gal(E/L) y consideremos τ∈G=Gal(E/K)\tau\in G=Gal(E/K). ∎

Ejemplo VI.1.

Sea f=(x2−2)(x2−3)f=(x^{2}-2)(x^{2}-3).

α\alpha β\beta
τ1\tau_{1} −α-\alpha β\beta
τ2\tau_{2} α\alpha −β-\beta
τ3\tau_{3} −α-\alpha −β-\beta
τ4\tau_{4} α\alpha β\beta

y podemos definir

de forma que son isomorfos. ℤ2×ℤ2\mathbb{Z}_{2}\times\mathbb{Z}_{2} tiene 3 subgrupos no triviales: ⟨(1,0)⟩,⟨(1,0)⟩,⟨(1,1)⟩\langle(1,0)\rangle,\langle(1,0)\rangle,\langle(1,1)\rangle. Su diagrama es:

ℤ2×ℤ2{{\mathbb{Z}_{2}\times\mathbb{Z}_{2}}}⟨(1,0)⟩{{\langle(1,0)\rangle}}⟨(0,1)⟩{{\langle(0,1)\rangle}}⟨(1,1)⟩{{\langle(1,1)\rangle}}⟨(0,0)⟩{{\langle(0,0)\rangle}}

Aplicamos el teorema al subgrupo generado por τ1\tau_{1}

f(⟨τ1⟩)=CE(⟨τ1⟩)={x∈E∣h(x)=x∀h∈⟨τ1⟩}=={a+bα+cβ+dαβ∣τ1(a+bα+cβ+dαβ)=a+bα+cβ+dαβ}{}f(\langle\tau_{1}\rangle)=C_{E}(\langle\tau_{1}\rangle)=\left\{x\in E\mid h(% x)=x\;\forall h\in\langle\tau_{1}\rangle\right\}=\\ {}=\left\{a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha\beta\mid\tau_{1}(a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha% \beta)=a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha\beta\right\}

Aplicamos el teorema al subgrupo generado por τ2\tau_{2}

se tiene que

τ2(a+bα+cβ+dαβ)=a+bτ2(α)+cτ2(β)+dτ2(α)τ2(β)=a+bα−cβ−dαβ\tau_{2}(a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha\beta)=a+b\tau_{2}(\alpha)+c\tau_{2}(\beta)+d% \tau_{2}(\alpha)\tau_{2}(\beta)=a+b\alpha-c\beta-d\alpha\beta

Por último, repitiendo el mismo razonamiento, aplicamos el teorema al subgrupo generado por τ3\tau_{3}

f(⟨τ3⟩)=CE(⟨τ3⟩)={x∈E∣h(x)=x∀h∈⟨τ3⟩}=={a+bα+cβ+dαβ∣τ3(a+bα+cβ+dαβ)=a+bα+cβ+dαβ}{}f(\langle\tau_{3}\rangle)=C_{E}(\langle\tau_{3}\rangle)=\left\{x\in E\mid h(% x)=x\;\forall h\in\langle\tau_{3}\rangle\right\}=\\ {}=\left\{a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha\beta\mid\tau_{3}(a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha% \beta)=a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha\beta\right\}

se tiene que

τ3(a+bα+cβ+dαβ)=a+bτ3(α)+cτ3(β)+dτ3(α)τ3(β)=a+bα−cβ−dαβ\tau_{3}(a+b\alpha+c\beta+d\alpha\beta)=a+b\tau_{3}(\alpha)+c\tau_{3}(\beta)+d% \tau_{3}(\alpha)\tau_{3}(\beta)=a+b\alpha-c\beta-d\alpha\beta

De forma similar, tomando el subgrupo ⟨τ4⟩\langle\tau_{4}\rangle, este se corresponde con ℚ(2,3)\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2},\sqrt{3}), y tomando Gal(E/ℚ)Gal(E/\mathbb{Q}), f(Gal(E/ℚ))={a∣a∈ℚ}=ℚf(Gal(E/\mathbb{Q}))=\left\{a\mid a\in\mathbb{Q}\right\}=\mathbb{Q}.

ℚ{{\mathbb{Q}}}ℚ(3){{\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{3})}}ℚ(2){{\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2})}}ℚ(6){{\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{6})}}ℚ(2,3){{\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2},\sqrt{3})}}
